Recently, Femi Adebayo Salami expressed his admiration for his colleague and film producer Kunle Afolayan. The film village of Kunle Afolayan, where he is now filming a movie with seasoned actress Sola Sobowale, was visited by the box office king. Kunle Afolayan thanked Femi Adebayo for dropping by and posted pictures of his visit on his Instagram page.
“Thanks, bro for stopping by. We are still at it”.
Reacting to it, Femi Adebayo urged him to keep making Nigerians proud as he appreciated him.
“Omo iya…. continue to make us proud .. I appreciate you, my brother”.
Last month, Kemi Filani revealed that Kunle Afolayan had received an invitation to join the academy members, about a year after his film, Anikulapo, had been turned down by the Oscars. Along with Richard Mofe Damijo, Shola Dada, Jade Osiberu, and CJ 'Fiery' Obasi, the film producer/actor has received an invitation. Kunle Afolayan shared the wonderful news on his Instagram page and thanked the host for the invitation. He remarked that it is yet another chance for him to be of service.
“Another opportunity to serve. Shola Dada the writer of Roti and Anikulapo the movie and the forthcoming series is also a new member.
Thanks for the invitation”.
Only a few weeks had passed since he received the National Honor before receiving the Oscar invitation. The 50 recipients of the Officer of the Order of Nigeria (OON) designation included the filmmaker. Kunle Afolayan expressed his gratitude to the government for the distinction on his Instagram page.
