Barack Obama 2023 compiles Burna Boy and Ayra Starr for his summer playlist.

 Barack Obama, a former US president, has released his yearly Summer Playlist. The former president listed his top summertime music in a tweet on his official Twitter account. For the summer of 2023, there are 41 songs on the playlist, and as usual, Nigerian musicians are represented. Burna Boy and Ayra Starr made it to his summer playlist and kept their places in his 2022 Music playlist. The chart-topping single "Stability" by Ayra Starr and the remix "Sitting On Top Of The World" by Burna Boy both made it onto the list in 2023.

“Like I do every year, here are some songs I’ve been listening to this summer – a mix of old and new. Look forward to hearing what I’ve missed”.

Burna Boy and Tems were on his summer playlist the previous year. He admitted on his Twitter page that he enjoys sharing his playlist with his millions of fans because he has discovered so many new musicians through their comments. He continued by saying that their responses serve as an illustration of how music can unite people. Rema and Wizkid have previously made it onto his playlist, but they were left off this year. Tems, Buju, and Pheelz, three young artists, as well as Grammy-winning performer Burna Boy, were included on the list. The second song on his playlist was Vibes by the current queen of pop, Tems.

The popular song "Finesse" by Pheelz & Buju also made it.

The former president of the United States presented his music playlist at the conclusion of the year, which included Burna Boy and Ayra Starr. His top three songs of 2022 included three by Nigerian artists: Burna Boy, Rema, and Ayra Starr. Burna Boy's Last Last, Ayra's Rush, and Rema's Calm Down were among the 25 songs Obama picked as his favorites of the year. All three artists are from Nigeria. Beyonce made the list as usual, along with Kendrick Lamar, Lizzo, Rosalia, and others. The former US president shared his top ten list on his official Twitter account, adding it was fun to share.
