"How the film industry wanted to exploit my body" Bimbo Ademoye messes up.

 Nollywood actress Bimbo Ademoye has described how early in her career, film makers tried to capitalize on her curvy shape. Bimbo stated in an interview with The Sun Newspaper that she felt like she was being sexualized by the movies. She claimed that because of her attractive body, movie directors wanted to cast her in sleazy roles, but she turned them down. The movie actress finally received her big break when she was given the chance to show off her talent by the award-winning director Uduak Isong. Since that time, her career has taken off.

She said, “Everybody wanted to make use of my body. Everybody wanted me to play the sexy secretary or the girl that snatched someone’s husband, or the one that snatched the other person’s boyfriend.

But it was Uduak Isong that took a chance on me. She gave me a role different from what I was used to and since then, it has been amazing. People started calling me to come and act in this comedy role, come and feature in this and that. It has really been very wonderful since then.”

It makes sense why Bimbo Ademoye gave Uduak Isong her all on her birthday in April. 

Uduak Isong had received an emotional letter from Bimbo Ademoye. The actress thanked Uduak on his Instagram page for being a shoulder to weep on, for holding her hands, and for keeping her warm and secure. She told her that she loved her and that she couldn't show her how much she loved her with words alone. She confirmed her love for Uduak Isong and thanked God for bringing her into her life in 2015.

Bimbo Ademoye has no doubt soared higher as this year she became an AMVCA award-winning actress. The humorous film star broke Funke Akindele's five-year record of the Africa Magic Viewers' Choice Awards, which she shared with her senior colleague and box officer. In a comedy/TV series, Bimbo Ademoye won the award for Best Actress, besting competitors including Funke Akindele and Mercy Johnson. The show's producers acknowledged their excitement to name the emerging actress as the winner when they shared the news on Twitter.
