 Bill Gates, the millionaire founder of Microsoft, has commended Afrobeats for revolutionizing the music industry. Speaking at the ceremony, the billionaire, who is in Nigeria to meet with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, acknowledged the influence Afrobeats has had. When Phoebe Adele, Bill Gates' daughter, learned dad was traveling to Nigeria, she reportedly told him he was happy because he would get to visit Burna Boy and Rema. The founder of Bill and Melinda Gates, who was unaware of their existence, claimed that he had to look them up on Google because he was only familiar with Davido and Wizkid, whose performances had impressed him.

Years ago, Davido bragged about the number of presidents he knew and how one of them had even picked him up at the airport, unlike Bill Gates, who had never had any presidents as contacts on his phone.

Speaking about the highlights of his career in an interview with a French fashion magazine, L’Officiel, the Fem singer, Davido said, “It is a couple of things. Knowing that I have access to a president I can talk to. Even now, recently, I’ve been seeing a lot of coup d’états and military regime takeovers. I know a lot of these presidents personally. I’ve performed for them.
