Ooni's spouse, Queen Tobi Phillips, responds to trolls who criticize her for not speaking Yoruba

One of Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi's wives, Queen Tobi Phillips, has finally responded to those who have been making fun of her for not knowing Yoruba. With a video showing her speaking Yoruba in an interview with BBC Yoruba, the former beauty queen dissuaded them. Despite not speaking Yoruba as her first language, Queen Tobi claimed that whenever she does, she always uses the appropriate tone.

“Good morning fam, hope your day is off to a great start. This is for those who’s been trying to troll me about speaking Yoruba in my Previous Videos.

I may not speak Yoruba as my Default Language….but best believe whenever I do, I make sure to Speak it with the Right Tone”.

Remember how Olori Tobi Phillips disclosed her encounter with the monarch last year? Olori Tobi Phillips mentioned in an interview with TVC 'Your View' that she was saddened when intervention prevented her from marrying the Ooni. She claimed that they had been introduced to the king by a common friend, and that their chemistry immediately clicked. However, there were other obstacles that prevented the two from getting married at the time, which was quite damaging. Olori Tobi said she told herself she was going to marry for love, which seems to be a warning to those who think she is with the monarch for financial gain. She had always vowed to only get married for love, which is why she agreed to be the King's third wife.

Olori Tobi continued by stating that she recognized several virtues in the monarch that she had always hoped her future husband would possess. The monarch's third wife had previously related how she endured an 8-year wait before becoming queen. Tobi Phillips revealed that it had been quite the road but that God has been faithful while posting some lovely pictures of herself and the Royal father to celebrate the beginning of the new month.

“Happy New Month From His Imperial Majesty Ooni Adeyeye Eniitan Ogunwusi Ojaja Keji and Her Royal Majesty Queen Tobi Phillips-Ogunwusi.

It’s been quite a Ride, and we give God All The Glory and Adorations Because All Power Belongs to God Almighty.

For about 7-8 years I consistently wished that @timidakolo would Sing the “Iyawo Mi” Song at my Wedding, and here we are.

Thank You So Much Kabiyesi Mi @ooniadimulaife for making it happen. E Pe Fun Wa L’ase Eledumare. Cheers To A New Life.” Queen Tobi Phillips concluded.
