My kids made a lot of sacrifices and were motherless for a very long time. Patience Ozokwo delivers a moving speech after receiving the Lifetime Achievement Award.

Patience Ozokwo, a Nollywood actress, maintained her word and wrote a touching speech to honor her Lifetime Achievement Award. At the just completed AMVCA, the veteran had won the Lifetime Achievement Award. Patience Ozokwo wrote a lengthy article on her Instagram page about how she started her acting career without social media or modern conveniences. Patience Ozokwo claimed that one's talent, humility, reputation, and trust were the only factors that mattered in making development. She thanked her coworkers for their hard work, which was frequently done without being noticed. She was grateful for the support and love she had received from her family as well. Patience Ozokwo recounted how her children sacrificed a lot and stayed without a mother while she was filming.

“LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT AWARD

When we started in the industry there was no social media and so many other luxuries we enjoy now. Progress was completely dependent on your talent, humility, word of mouth, and trust.

I appreciate my colleagues who work tirelessly and often times without recognition.

I appreciate my family who have always surrounded me with love and acceptance. My children sacrificed a lot and stayed long periods without a mother. At one point, my daughter became my PA and is still my Associate Manager to date.

All Marketers that believed in me from the very beginning. Too numerous to mention”. Patience Ozokwo's tears of pleasure at the recently finished AMVCA were nonstop. She was surprised to learn that the seasoned actress had won the prestigious Industry Merit Award. Patience explained in her speech how Charles Inojie persuaded her to attend the event despite not knowing she had been nominated for an award that evening. Patience vowed to write a post of gratitude to everyone on Instagram but she needed time to process the surprise of the prize.

“A few hours ago telling my daughter I might not make it to Lagos because my flight from Benin was canceled and the last flight out of Asaba was delayed.

I had to attend a family wedding in the East Friday and barely made it back to Lagos.

Thanks @charlesinojie for encouraging me to come.

Let me rest for now. My speech with come later”.
