Mercy Aigbe had totally adopted her husband's last name, Adeoti, to better substantiate her marital status.
When her Instagram bio was checked, it was found that the actress had adopted her husband's name.
The name Mercy Aigbe has been changed to Mercy Aigbe Adeoti. Mercy Aigbe made headlines at the beginning of this year when she revealed her new Muslim name after converting to her husband's faith.
The actress declared that Hajia Minnah would henceforth be her new name.
She announced this during the special prayer and lecture she and her husband gave to mark the beginning of Ramadan.
Speaking about the origin of her name, Mercy Aigbe said that Kazim Adeoti, her husband, was the one who gave it to her.
Mercy educated others who had doubts about Minnah's status as a Muslim name on the significant significance of the name.
She stated that Minnah is a beautiful, Islamic name and it means Mercy… Gift from Allah.
Though she understands that it isn’t a common name, the meaning behind the name is powerful, sweet, and unique hence why her husband suggested it to her.
