Yakubu, the INEC chairman, is referred to by Dele Momodu as the worst since 1979.

 Dele Momodu, the Peoples Democratic Party Presidential Campaign Council's (PDP PCC) director of strategic communications, voiced dissatisfaction with the results of the 2023 poll and dubbed Mahmood Yakubu, the INEC chairman, as the worst since 1979.

Dele believes that given the resources used, the election should have almost perfect guarantees.

The PDP leader continued by saying that the INEC Chairman and his staff should face severe repercussions when election records include errors.

Momodu wrote in his article that he had been voting since 1979 and that Professor Yakubu was the worst INEC chairman he had ever encountered. The PDP leader called the circumstance sad and terrible.

He said: "The amount of resources that go into Nigerian elections should typically come with promises of nearly flawless results, and where it fails, the INEC Chairman and his team should be severely sanctioned... Since I began voting in 1979, I'll venture to claim that PROF YAKUBU is the worst I've ever witnessed. Extremely awful and sad.
