“Such people don’t last long” Pete Edochie discusses the passing of his grandson and his talk with Yul about Kambili.

 For the first time, seasoned actor Pete Edochie has addressed the passing of his grandchild. The young athlete passed away on Wednesday, March 29, after having a seizure while playing football with his schoolmates. Kambilichukwu was reportedly taken by ambulance to the Mother and Child Hospital in Lagos, where he was later declared dead. Pete told Vanguard that Yul had called him on the phone to tell him about the incident, confirming the heartbreaking news. Pete said that as soon as Yul called them, he and his family began to pray for the child. Pete Edochie described his late grandson's excellent qualities while talking about the departed.

He claims that his grandson is an exceptionally quiet, gifted child. He is not someone you can depend on, and no matter what, he never loses his cool. He claimed that the dead was an exceptional individual who was extremely accomplished. The eminent performer admitted that he frequently warned Yul that people like Kambili, who are exceptional at whatever they do, don't live long.

“Kambilinachukwu is a very quiet, brilliant and talented child. He’s not somebody you can ride easily. He doesn’t get angry no matter the situation.

He may change his composure, but he was definitely a very unusual person in so many respects. He was so accomplished. I always tell my son that I don’t like people excelling like this in any thing they are involved in. Experience has taught me that such people don’t last long”.

Nigerians unearthed an old video of a prophet prophesying his demise hours after the news of Yul Edochie's son's passing spread. Yul's son's passing in January was foretold by the prophet who went by the name Prophet Samuel and is the founder of Prophet Samuel King Ministries. In the recently discovered video, the prophet is heard pleading with his flock to pray for the Edochie family because he sees death looming over them. Although the prophet made no mention of Yul Edochie's son, he made a suggestion that a renowned family member will be buried.
