 David Adeleke, a well-known international singer from Nigeria who goes by the stage name Davido, has now spoken up about his grieving process following the death of his son Ifeanyi Adeleke. Davido recently posted a touching video of himself on Instagram along with a statement explaining how he fared on social media while he was abroad. Davido utilized the album's name, TIMELESS, in the caption to describe his period of mourning and recovery. The father of three was grateful for his followers' love and support, which kept him going.

He wrote, “There is a time for everything. A time to Grieve and a time to Heal. A time to Laugh and a time to Dance. A time to Speak and A time for Silence.

Thank you to everyone out there for your love and support that has held me down. All the love and messages while I was away, the gifts sent, the concerts you all threw! I appreciate it all. Today, I want to remind you all that what is now Timeless, was once new. It’s time for new.

Following the passing of his son Ifeanyi Adeleke in November 2022, Kemi Olunloyo sang a Davido song in grief. The contentious Kemi claimed in a post on her Instagram account that the small child's passing was a result of a hereditary curse in the Adeleke family. She also stated that she would start a documentary series on the family's countless deaths and generational curse. Kemi Olunloyo added that her father had provided her with some important details concerning Davido's family.

When Kemi Olunloyo showered Davido with love and prayers, she caved to peer pressure. The divisive investigative journalist published old pictures of Davido along with a loving and prayerful text, asking God to keep the artist safe and grant him peace.

Trolls followed Kemi Olunloyo's article and criticized her for including Davido in it. While some believed Kemi Olunloyo wanted money from the Grammy-winning musician, others argued she is finally heading in the right direction.
