"Free and fair elections are needed," Responses as court prevents INEC from employing MC Oluomo to distribute election materials
Once the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) was forbidden from using Musiliu Akinsanya, also known as MC Oluomo, the Chairman of the Lagos Parks and Garages, in the distribution of electoral materials for the state's upcoming election, citizens rejoiced on social media. Olusegun Agbaje, the INEC Resident Electoral Commissioner in Lagos State, revealed that the organization would use MC Oluomo to distribute election materials. A decision that was met with hostility from everyone. In a recent development, the Federal High Court barred INEC from utilizing MC Oluomo for election purposes and decided in favor of the Lagos State chapter of the Labour Party.
