Listening to him indeed renewed my hope and reaffirmed why he is my choice. Jagaban is coming!”

Toyin Abraham gushed over Tinubu on the microblogging website Twitter. In the face of criticism, she posted a picture of Tinubu and raved about how adorable he was.

After publicly stating her support for Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, a few weeks ago, Nollywood actress Toyin Abraham called out about the harassment and death threats she and several of her coworkers had received. The mother of one who openly professed her love for Tinubu said the following in an interview with TVC:

“I love Asiwaju, and I’m speaking about myself. I love him, I might vote for him because I love him. I’ve not decided, but I’m just saying it. And because of the things he has done for my industry,

“I’m not going to use my selfish interest to lead others. He has been a wonderful man in my industry, he has been there for people and my industry. I am speaking from my own perspective. He is a good man. He has been there for people even when they had nothing. I am speaking for my own Oluwatoyin Abosede Dada Abraham-Ajeyemi.

“Let people choose whoever they want to choose. I will not let people use the gender part of me. I will support anyone who supports everybody. Someone competent. I’m not going to jeopardize the future of our children because of gender part or because I have a colleague there.”

After a YouTuber wrote "R.I.P" on Toyin Abraham's picture, Toyin Abraham turned to Instagram to deny reports of her death. Toyin Abraham shared a screenshot of the article on her own Instagram profile, where she lamented the kind of harassment she had experienced after declaring her support for Bola Tinubu, the APC's presidential candidate.

She wrote: It is no more Democracy if you don’t allow people to make their decision freely. Everyone can not see things from your own angle ONLY. Bullying, harassing and threatening people’s life because they disagree with you on personal choice shouldn’t be encouraged at all. Why would anyone put this out there? Why? Why should anyone wish others bad because they made a different choice? Why?
