Yemi Alade breaks silence on being pregnant for the President of Togo

 









Yemi Alade, the award-winning singer and performer, has responded to reports that she is expecting a child for Togo's president, Faure Essozimna Gnassingbé Eyadéma.

A blogger alleged in an online video that the diva, who has a close relationship with the Togo president, has been dating the politician since 2017.

According to the blogger, Yemi is currently pregnant for President Eyadema, and he intends to make her his sixth wife.

In response to the rumors, the 'Johnny' hitmaker turned to Twitter and posted laughing and pregnant emojis.

In subsequent tweets, she stated;

"This January, the mood is different. If you don't like your job, act little when you see customers. People are really Menting this January."

Yemi Eberechi Alade is a Nigerian Afropop singer, composer, actress, and activist who was born on March 13, 1989. After winning the Peak Talent Show in 2009, she signed with Effyzzie Music Group and scored a hit with her tune "Johnny" in 2014. Since then, Yemi has earned recognition in the music industry and is regarded as one of Africa's most prominent artists. Following the release of her albums King of Queens and Mama Africa, both of which achieved massive financial success, she embarked on a string of international tours.

Alade grew up in a multi-ethnic Nigerian family. Her father, James Alade, was a police commissioner from Ondo State, Nigeria, and her mother, Helen Uzoma, is from Abia State. According to Yemi, she is of Igbo and Yoruba descent from her parents. Alade went to Victory Grammar School in Ikeja for secondary school and the University of Lagos for university (both in Lagos, Nigeria)

During her academic years, Alade competed in and won a TV talent contest called Peak Talent Show. That was Alade's first television appearance, and it was here that she rose to prominence. Effyzzie Music Group then signed her.
