Wizkid’s manager disassociates singer from Peter Obi’s ‘concert’









 Sunday Are, Wizkid's manager, has threatened legal action against people who are using the singer to promote a music concert for Labour Party presidential candidate Peter Obi.

Posters indicating the artist will perform at the Abuja concert have lately emerged on social media.

The '2023 ObiDatti Showdown Music Concert' is scheduled for February 18 at Eagle Square in Abuja.

Burna Boy, Tiwa Savage, 2baba, and Seun Kuti are among the other musicians scheduled to perform at the event.

The performance is also planned to feature comedians, actors, DJs, and dancers.

In response to Wizkid's inclusion among the artists on the poster Sunday, In a social media post on Friday, January 20, it was said that the event was a hoax and that legal action would be taken against those responsible.

Are wrote on Sunday;

"This is to tell the general public that this event is a hoax, Wizkid and his management know nothing about this event and thus, he will not play at the aforementioned event as advertised. Please be cautious of this poster and any material distributed by its organizers, since Wizkid and his management will not be held liable for any damages.

"Adequate legal action is being considered against those responsible for generating and propagating this misleading information."
