‘Could it be envy? Austin Faani questions why actors aren't supporting Funke Akindele's bid for governor.

Nollywood director Austin Faani has questioned why Funke Akindele's female coworkers are not supporting her campaign for deputy governor of Lagos State. On Thursday, the producer, who is amicably wed to on-screen diva Charity Eke (Chacha Eke), shared his thoughts on Instagram. Austin Faani questioned whether actresses' lack of support for Funke Akindele, who is running for deputy governor of Lagos state under the PDP, would be due to envy.

He wrote: “Funke Akindele’s colleagues are not campaigning for her, especially the female celebrities.

Could it be envy or what? We can post her film but not her political ambition. Arnold Schwarzenegger was once the governor of California.

Y’all think she is not capable?

I trust she will do better than all the previous Deputy Governors of Lagos put together.

Vote my Colleague.

Vote PDP

Vote Jandor and Funke.”

As Nigeria prepares to hold the eagerly anticipated general elections, Austin Faani expressed his unhappiness at the start of the Big Brother Titans TV reality show. The father of four believes that Ebuka and the show's organizers must one day give Nigerians an explanation for their foolish choice.

Taking to his verified Instagram page, Faani who is happily married to Chacha Eke Faani wrote: “Someday, not soon maybe, Ebuka and BBN will explain to Nigerians why they couldn’t wait for just a month as to not distract the Nigerian masses especially the southern Nigeria that engages more in their awesome show from the coming election. Just someday, there will be this dialogue, and I hope their reasons make sense and adds positive impact to what everyone in Nigeria is after at the moment. Get your PVC guys. I hear people say, vote wisely, vote with your conscience and all sorts. If you can’t use any of the above traits to vote, simply vote for Peter Obi and Datti Yusuf. Thumb print where you see a family picture.”

It should be remembered that 22 enthusiastic, young, and colorful housemates from South Africa and Nigeria invaded the first season of Big Brother Titans, Africa's most popular reality TV program. The housemates compete for a $100,000 grand prize in South Africa on "BBTitans," as it is commonly known.
