The true reason for the bullion van visiting Tinubu's house before the election - APC

Ayodele Adewale, the APC's organising secretary, has claimed that the bullion vehicles spotted going towards Asiwaju Bola Tinubu's home on the night of the 2019 presidential election "missed its way there."

This was expressed by Adewale on Arise TV on Thursday morning.

"That bullion vehicle missed its way there, and it was not invited by Asiwaju or anyone," he explained.

The document, however, contradicts Mr Tinubu's statements, in which he admitted that the bullion vans he had parked in his Bourdillon residence on election night did indeed contain money and not ballots, as his opponents had claimed.

Tinubu, the governing party's presidential candidate for the February 25 election, told reporters in 2019 that he was free to carry his money to his house.

"Bullion trucks? "Are those voting papers?" Excuse me, is this your money or the government's? "I do not work for the government," Mr Tinubu remarked. "I am not employed by (any) government agency. Let no one claim that I have gotten any contract from President Muhammadu Buhari's administration in the last five years."

"They should prove it," he added. I'm on my own, and I'm dedicated to my party. So, even if I had funds to spend on my property. "How bad is your headache?"

Mr. Adewale, on the other hand, argued that the former Lagos governor was joking when he made the remark.
