Funke Akindele storms Celestial Church of Christ members in Ogun State for prayers

 

Funke Akindele, a Nollywood actress and contender for Lagos deputy governor, recently attacked Celestial Church of Christ followers in Ogun State.

In Imeko, Ogun State, at the Celestial Church's yearly gathering, the actress and mother of twin boys asked for prayers.

On Saturday, December 24, Akindele sung her favorite worship song as she addressed the audience. She advised putting God first in whatever one does and being polite.

She further stated that those who dress in white and act in a manner befitting a "Celestial mother" must do so.

In whatever we do, God must come first. We must behave properly at all times. We must conduct ourselves as those who wear white clothing. We must act in a manner befitting a "Celestial" mother.

This is not the first time Funke Akindele has entered a spiritual building.

Funke Akindele caused controversy a few months ago when, while worshiping with the Christ Celestial Church in Lagos, she fell into a trance.

As she delivered a profound discovery about her religious background, Funke Akindele captivated the gathering.

The mother of twin sons was shown in an online video wearing the fabled Celestial white robe as she explained how she was related to the Celestial Church of Christ.

Funke asserted that she is a lost sheep who returned to the foundation and that she was born and raised as a celestial.

The audience erupted in applause as Funke Akindele returned as a member after making a profound discovery about her religious background.

Many people said Funke Akindele's behaviour was motivated by her political aspirations, which led to conflicting reactions to the viral video.

The politician was seen dancing and worshiping while wearing the white robe of the church when she suddenly felt a spirit-inspired touch and entered a trance.

Funke offered further light on the incident that produced the famous video of herself entering a trance in a celestial church by explaining it.

"You reveal to me the way of life," she said, "and in your presence there is fullness of delight, and at your right hand are joys for ever."

On Sunday, August 28, 2022, the Celestial Church of Christ (CCC) SBJ Oshoffa Memorial Cathedral joined me in giving thanks for my 45th birthday. I joined the congregation in worship, and words cannot express the delight I felt being a member of the Celestial Church of Christ where I am not a stranger.
