Burna Boy, the Grammy Award-winning musician, has been named Nigeria's most streamed artist.
According to Spotify's Artist & Label Partnerships Manager, West Africa, Victor Okpala, who spoke at the Wrapped 2022 event, the singer will also be the most frequently played artist from Sub-Saharan Africa in 2022.
At the 2022 Wrapped, it was also declared that Burna Boy's tune 'Last Last' is the most streamed song in Nigeria, as well as the most heartfelt song.
Asake, Wizkid, BNXN fka Buju, Davido, Drake, Fireboy DML, Omah Lay, Rema, and Kizz Daniel are among the other male artists in the top ten.
In 2022, Ayra Starr is the most streamed female musician in Nigeria, while Tems has the most vibe among Nigeria's musical exports. Wait For You, the singer's collaboration with Future and Drake, was the year's #1 Nigerian song export.
Okpala added;
"2022 ushered us into an era of cultural overdrive, and we're excited for fans and artists alike to share these insights on the music they created and listened to this year."
"Wrapped 2022 will also include artist messages to their listeners, and because sharing is caring, users will be able to share their Wrapped cards via WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter." Fans can also get a personalized Snapchat lens that reflects their listening personality, and those who are active in the Roblox universe can go to Spotify Island for even more fun and games, as well as cool merch from several artists, including Ghana's Black Sherif."
