I am not your Christian savior, and I refuse to fit into the mold that you have for me. Tems blows fierce

Temilade Openiyi, popularly known as Tems, has issued a strong warning to everyone after being labeled by social media users as a modest girl who is upright and shouldn't be showing off her body or acting sexually on stage. The Grammy-winning singer vented on her Twitter page over the identity controversy, saying that she does not support people's belief in God and is not a Christian savior. She continued by saying that despite how much it would offend her admirers, she refuses to fit into a box.Tems bravely stated that she is just about to start while reflecting on how she first entered the entertainment world and the incredible growth she has seen.

She Tweeted: I don’t know who needs to hear this but I am not your Christian saviour. I didn’t come here to uphold your beliefs about God. I will not fit into this box you try to put me in. I won’t satisfy you in that area please find the person that will. Or ask yourself why you care.

So much growth this year. I’m here for my fans. I have worked so much on myself. It will all make sense when it happens. I started in 2018. Look at what music looks like today. Still Next level coming. I’m just about to start. I don’t brag because I’m not playing the same game. I don’t need to brag, I am who I am whether you know it or not. It is the house that is built on the solid rock that will withstand the storm. I’m trying to impress myself not you.

Twitter fights broke out between Tems and some Nigerian social media fans who didn't like her most recent stage performance. The disgruntled admirers claim that Tems lacks the sex appeal that she is "so hard" at pushing on stage. She is only acting this way because of peer pressure, they said, and it isn't healthy for her. Observations are below.

Daniel Regha wrote, “Tems u are promising artiste, one of the best upcomers in the game right now but u need to ! Improve ur live performance; Truth be told it’s n¤t entertaining or electrifying to watch. St¤p c¤pying R!hanna, everyone is uniquely different so be urself & do things ur way. No offense.”

Chiziri Newman wrote, “Bumbum wey no dey shake…take us back to the old Tems abeg. As a fan I don’t want to see her bumbum again. E fall hand.”

Kussman wrote, “Make management change this script , she’s not her.”

Ajebo Danny wrote, “She’s pushing the sexual appeal out of peer pressure and it’s not working. I agree, it’s not her”

Mortenn wrote, “Nigerian female celebrity both actress and musician talent 100% , dressing 100% but dancing! Am still waiting for someone to show me a Nigeria female celebrity good with dancing , apart from dos so called dancers on IG”

One Ms Sweet soul wrote, “I really do wish female artists are not made to push their markets using their sensuality. I most especially wish female artists will refuse to live by this script. Like why can’t they just sing and jump too? Do they have to shake bumbum?”

Reacting to the cry out, Tems wrote, “I WILL DRINK YOUR TEARS.”

In another tweet, Tems wrote, “Look I have my own type of dance. I know how it looks. It’s so beautiful and raw. It’s my own special unique dance. So you just gonna have to get used to it and rock with me. Cuz that shit is here to stay”

Tems expressed her sincere gratitude to Barbadian superstar Rihanna for working with her on the song she co-wrote for Rihanna's new single. For the first time since her 2016 album, Anti, Rihanna, 34, has released a brand-new song as a solo artist, titled "Lift Me Up," for the film "Black Panther: Wakanda Forever." Tems, Rihanna, Ludwig Göransson, and the movie's director, Ryan Coogler, all contributed to the song's writing. It pays homage to the late Black Panther actor Chadwick Boseman, who passed away in 2020 following a personal fight with colon cancer that he was diagnosed with in 2016. Tems, 27, wrote on her Instagram page that she is grateful to have co-written the song in Chadwick Boseman's honor and even more grateful to have Rihannah, the deadliest Rihannah, perform it flawlessly.
