Kunle Afolayan mocks Sola Sobowale as she discusses her role as the sugar mummy in Anikulapo, saying, "Come and Awarunise me."
Sola Sobowale, an actress, has spoken about playing the sugar mummy Awarun in Kunle Afolayan's film Anikulapo.
Anikulapo, a film by Kunle Afolayan set in the Oyo empire in the seventeenth century, tells the tale of Saro, a wandering cloth weaver who had an affair with Awarun.
Awarun, a businesswoman who owns a ceramics firm, made a commitment to look after Saro and assist him in starting his own company. She also suggested that he be hired by the royal family to weave their regal clothing.
However, things took a turn for the worst when Saro started an affair with the youngest wife of the Alaafin, Queen Arolake, which ultimately led to his demise because he was envious of Awarun's independence and sexual involvement with another man.
He was revived by a bird, which also left behind a gourd that had the capacity to bring the dead back to life. After the bird had saved Saro, Arolake assaulted it. He then plucked the gourd and gave Saro care till he recovered.
Sola, who shared behind-the-scenes images from the film set on Instagram on Thursday, gave a quick description of her role, Awarun, as a sugar mummy. She penned:

Kunle Afolayan, who also played Sola's love interest, mocked her in the post's comment section. She said:
"Please come and Awarunnise me."
Awarun is described by Sola as being egotistical, attractive, and diligent in a video on YouTube where she elaborates on her persona. Sola Sobowale responded to the question of whether she thought Awarun had aided Saro out of goodwill:
"Yes na. When she discovered him dozing off in front of her stores, why didn't she shoo him away?
The 58-year-old actress said when asked if she thought her character had just enough sixth sense to realize Saro was doing something cunning:
''Awarun is always one step ahead of everyone since she has been around for a while, can read people, is smart, and knows what she wants''.
Kunle Remi, Bimbo Ademoye, Taiwo Hassan, Adebayo Salami, Dele Odule, Yinka Quadri, Faithia Williams, Ronke Oshodi-Oke, Mr. Macaroni, Sunday Omobolanle, Toyin Afolayan, Kareem Adepoju, and Hakeem Kae-Kazim are among the other actors in the film.
