How 15 false prophesies were given by Nigerian prophets - Report

The Eternal Sacred Order of Cherubim and Seraphim clergy members allegedly gave false predictions on Pearse Street in Yaba, Lagos, according to online news source Foundation for Investigative Journalism. The FIJ journalist had approached the church's branch in February 2022, posing as someone in need of "spiritual help." "It is unclear why the gatekeepers at the Eternal Sacred Order of Cherubim and Seraphim's "national headquarters" on Pearse Street, Yaba, Lagos, are so unwelcoming when we arrive in the morning of the second day after the famous Valentine's Day, but one of them parks us grudgingly, anyway," he said when describing his arrival at the church. The prophet with whom we had been speaking, Madu Chiboka, calls and informs us that a "senior prophet" will attend to us shortly. I have some time while I wait for him inside the church to look around the auditorium. You won't find a bigger church than this one. However, I notice that there are deep brown pews meticulously placed in 13 rows and 4 columns, which theoretically means that the bottom floor can accommodate at least 312 worshippers at a time if six people occupy each pew. My suspicion is that the three additional pews in the back, which are not organized to fit into the rows, are for protocol officials who are currently employed. The FIJ investigation, which was published in October, described how the prophets (as a group) allegedly made 15 false prophecies.

You are not moving forward, according to Fake Prophecy No. 1

He turns to me and says, "My lovely son." Look at what you're doing, she said. He makes the motion of someone who takes a few steps forwards and several more backwards.

“You are not moving forward,” he tells me. “Instead, you are marking time. Even if you’re given N1 million, you’ll squander it,” the Senior Prophet at the church, whose name was not given had said.

YOU BREAK UP, THEN RETURN TO YOUR EXES, SAYS FAKE PROPHECY NO. 2

The ants are attacking you when you thought you were enjoying yourselves. The prophet is attributed with saying, "Thank God you have not yet entered into your afternoon (figuratively speaking, middle age), you are still within your morning (figuratively speaking, youth), and you're about to enter your afternoon. Otherwise, the ants would have bitten you beyond recognition. These forces "intended to use me to disgrace my family," he claimed the Senior Prophet had explained. For instance, if this female shows up and you have a minor argument with her, you leave. You break up with her and start dating someone else. However, when the first returns, you go to her before going back to your vomit, he explains. "You're letting a force that was cast to defame your family. He cited the prophet as saying, "You claim it's 'guy,' (a colloquialism for young excitement); it's not guy; you're degrading yourself. He responded in his narrative by claiming the prophecy was fake. "This prophecy is inaccurate on a number of levels. Recently, I have not had a busy dating life. I've only had one and a half relationships in the past six years, all with people I've completely lost touch with, so there was never any hope of us reconnecting. And I never reconciled with any of my previous breakups! Particularly the prophecy was pure fiction, according to the FIJ journalist.

The clerics allegedly declared the following prophesies to be false: "YOU ARE BEING MOCKED," "SEX IN YOUR DREAMS," "PRISON AROUND JUNE, JULY," "YOU'RE IN CHAINS," "YOU ARE A CULTIST," "YOU MADE A PROMISE," "AN INVITATION TO HERBALISTS," "IF YOU TRAVEL, AN ACCIDENT WILL HAPPEN," and The journalist remarked that the forecasts were untrue because he even engaged in some of the behavior he had been cautioned against and experienced no consequences. The journalist responded to the prophecy that he would travel and have an accident by saying, "Another phony prophecy. In reality, I didn't pay attention to Prophet Johnson. I did leave for the trip, but I got back to my base without even giving my car a scratch, much less getting into an accident. He added that he never seen any evidence of being imprisoned as the prophet had claimed. "This prediction was delivered in February. Even now, in October, there has not yet been a single fear about a prison. Not in June and not in July, according to the FIJ established by Fisayo Soyombo.
