Buhari will go to Abuja's mining week.

The sixth iteration of the Nigeria Mining Week, which is scheduled to take place from November 1 to 3, is anticipated to draw the president, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retired). This information was provided at a pre-event press conference on Thursday at the ministry's headquarters in Abuja by the minister of mines and steel development, Olamilekan Adegbite. The minister assured investors and stakeholders that Abuja was completely safe to host the event while speaking to journalists. He did so in response to a growing number of security alerts from other nations alerting their citizens about impending terrorist strikes. The Nigerian security apparatus have been properly instructed to handle the security situation, he added, adding that "the Federal Government is not resting on its oars to ensure the safety of people and property in the country." The fact that His Excellency, Muhammadu Buhari, GCFR, President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, will proclaim the event open, he said, "evidences the reality that Abuja is safe."
