Unreported alleged assault by the Fayose brother: Osun police

On Tuesday, the Osun State Police Command claimed that none of its divisions in the state had received a report of an incident posted on social media by the younger brother of the former governor of Ekiti State, Isaac Fayose, claiming that he had been attacked and a number of people had been kidnapped in Gbongan. On social media, the claimed attack on Mr. Fayose in Gbongan had gone viral. Mr. Fayose said the incident occurred in Gbongan in the report as well (Oyo State). However, the Ayedaade headquarters in Osun State are located in the town of Gbongan. Additionally, he said that other victims were kidnapped by alleged gunmen during the raid. In response, Yemisi Opalola, the spokeswoman for the Osun police command, said that no report of the purported incident had been filed with the state. "The Facebook is not a police complaint/report station," Opalola declared. There are many questions we'd like to ask Fayose that we can't ask on Facebook if we want to get more information from him concerning the situation. "However, we will investigate the situation to see what actually occurred and what should be done about it. Meanwhile, the Osun police, led by CP Olawale Olokode, would not give up on making sure that the residents of Osun are safe and that their property is protected.
