It has consistently led to blatant contempt - AY Comedian criticizes younger coworkers' behavior

Ayo Makun, a well-known Nigerian comedian and filmmaker, has penned a lengthy letter to his subordinate colleagues who lack respect, especially given how openly he interacts with them.

The delighted father of three blasted on his Instagram page that just because he humbled himself to get along with some individuals as a friend shouldn't take away from the respect he deserves as their boss.

As long as you don't become angry, people will bite you; however, if you stay angry, you won't get bitten, the author claimed. People are like dogs, not gods. Dogs have no regard for humility or grief. (Jack Kerouac)

I've realized that while having a dictatorial attitude or lifting your shoulders is not acceptable in God's eyes, it is frequently necessary to gain the respect you deserve from some people. There is a good chance that when you are humble, people will take you for granted.

Personally, I favor straightforward leadership that treats everyone fairly and openly. Regardless of status or class, I enjoy interacting and connecting with everyone. However, it has always led to blatant contempt. Some people become too relaxed around me the moment I make them feel at ease, and they forget to create boundaries when they should. Most individuals don't realize that, despite how jovial your friend, senior coworker, or employer may be toward you, there are some tricks or pranks you can't just pull on them. The respect he merits as your boss should not be diminished by the fact that he has taken the time to become friendly with you.

I've also seen that those that take advantage of you respect those who are incredibly demanding and haughty. They avoid trouble at all costs by carefully navigating around the domineering ones.

Find a technique to entirely avoid rude people rather than spending time with them because they could harm your physical and emotional wellbeing. Despite this, I continue to think that modesty is a virtue. Let those who are mistreating you go on; in actuality, those who value you for who you are will still think highly of you.
