Beginning on October 4, 2022, Delta Air Lines will stop operating flights between Lagos and New York's JFK airport. The airline made this announcement in a statement, adding that the suspension of the service was necessary given "the current demand climate." In order to accommodate the present demand situation, Delta is discontinuing its nonstop service between New York-JFK and Lagos, according to the statement.
The airline keeps running flights between Lagos and Atlanta and provides connections to New York and other American destinations. Customers who were impacted by the suspension of our New York-JFK to Lagos service will be rebooked on flights operated by Delta or by our joint venture partners. Delta continues to support the Nigerian market.
