Elon Musk disputes having an affair with a friend's wife

Elon Musk, the richest man in the world, has denied rumors that he had an affair with Nicole Shanahan, the wife of Sergey Brin, a co-founder of Google. The tech tycoon is said to have had a romantic relationship with Shanahan, according to a Wall Street Journal report from Sunday, which caused her marriage to Brin, another acquaintance of Musk's, to dissolve. According to "people familiar with the situation," the brief love affair that took place in December 2021 led Brin to file for divorce in January 2022, according to WSJ.

Records from the Santa Clara County Superior Court show that Shanahan and Brin had filed for divorce due to "irreconcilable disagreements." The Tesla CEO responded to the news by calling it "complete bs (bullsh*t)". Elon went on to say that his friendship with Sergey is still intact and that he has "nothing romantic" going on with Shanahan. "Totally BS," you say. We attended a party together last night as friends, Sergey and I," he tweeted on Monday. "In three years, Nicole and I have only met twice, and both occasions have involved numerous other individuals. Nothing sentimental.

Musk said in response to criticism from his supporters that the story was merely another "hit article" by the media source without any supporting evidence. "I've lost count of how many BS hit stories WSJ has published about me and Tesla! To be honest, it's embarrassing for them. When I called the FBI to find out what was going on, they stated the WSJ piece was complete nonsense and that they had once written that the FBI was preparing to arrest me. "WSJ is intended to uphold a high standard for journalism, yet they are currently much below tabloid levels.
Instead of publishing third-party random hearsay, he added, "WSJ should be running stories that genuinely matter to its readers and have substantial factual basis."
