Tinubu, Osinbajo, Fayemi, and Amosun'resign' in support of Owo.

Former Lagos State Governor Bola Tinubu, Ekiti State Governor Kayode Fayemi, Senator Ibikunle Amosun, and Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo halted planned political activities in Abuja on Monday to visit Owo local government in Ondo State, where a church massacre occurred, ahead of the APC presidential primary.

While Amosun, Fayemi, and Tinubu were already in Owo, it was discovered that Osinbajo had arrived in Ondo State but had not yet arrived in Owo at the time of publishing this report.

The attack on the church in Owo, Governor Rotimi Akeredolu's birthplace, came just a week after Bishop Samuel Kanu-Uche, the Prelate of the Methodist Church of Nigeria, was kidnapped in Abia State by gunmen whom the priest later identified as Fulani.

Former Lagos State Governor Bola Tinubu, Ekiti State Governor Kayode Fayemi, Senator Ibikunle Amosun, and Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo were among those present.

The shooters who assaulted the Catholic Church arrived at the location, which is less than 200 metres from the Olowo of Owo's palace, at 12 p.m. on Sunday, when the Sunday liturgy was wrapping up.
