Actress Regina King, the ever-present Lin-Manuel Miranda, actress Blake Lively, and her husband, actor Ryan Reynolds, are this year's gala hosts. Condé Nast global chief content officer Anna Wintour, Instagram head Adam Mosseri, and fashion designer Tom Ford are the gala's honorary chairmen.

First Lady Jill Biden was a special guest at the Met earlier Monday for the press debut of the Costume Institute's newest show, "In America: An Anthology of Fashion," which examines the evolution of American fashion from the 19th to the late 20th centuries.

It's been dubbed "The Party of the Year," "The East Coast's Oscars," and "Fashion's Biggest Night." Regardless of how you slice it, the Met Gala is a night to remember.
