Accidents on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway claims at least 10 people's lives.

 

Florence Okpe, the Ogun State Public Relations Officer for the Federal Road Safety Corps, made the announcement in a statement.

A commercial bus went up in flames at the Fidiwo, Ogun State end of the route in the first mishap, killing four people.


When a tyre on the bus ruptured, the bus lost control, somersaulted, and caught fire.


According to Okpe, the accident happened at Ogunmakin at 2.25 p.m. on Tuesday. The crash resulted in four deaths, she claimed, adding that the victims were "burned beyond recognition."


The number plate of the Toyota Hiace bus was also burned, according to Okpe.
