Sani Muhammed Sha'aban's children have purchased the expression of interest and nomination forms for their father, a former member of the House of Representatives.
Asmau Sani Sha'aban, one of the daughters, revealed this on Thursday.
Sha'aban is running for governor of Kaduna State on the ticket of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Asmau told reporters shortly after acquiring the forms for their father that the 17 children pooled their resources to purchase the N50 million forms.
Asma'u stated that their father was competing to better the state's socio-economic standing as well as the security of lives and property.
"I believe he has the tact to address the state's insecurity and enhance the economy," she remarked.
She stated that Governor Nasir el-current Rufai's administration had done a good job for the state, but that more needed to be done for the state's overall prosperity.
